TO address the increasing medical needs not only of the people of Cagayan de Oro, but including its neighboring provinces, a real honest to goodness womb to tomb services of JR Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) under the leadership of Mayor Oscar Moreno is again inaugurating another milestone of JRBGH today, March 26, as it partially opens its North Wing building constructed under the Health Facility Enhancement Program of the Department of Health (DOH).
No less than Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, who lauded Mayor Moreno for being a good steward of Cagayan de Oro, led the inauguration.
“One beautiful thing that happened to Cagayan de Oro is the stewardship of Mayor Moreno who has engineered the transformation not only of JR Borja Hospital but the city as well,” Duque said.
The partial opening of the P40.5 million North Wing building will accommodate the out-patient department, doctor’s clinics and administration offices.
The city funded infrastructure projects that include the Critical Care Unit, waiting for the License to Operate from DOH, Patient’s Lounge, Cadaver Holding and Laundry and Linen are also inaugurated.
Also present during the inauguration are officers of DOH regional office headed by Dir. Nimfa Torrizo, Retired Court of Appeals Justice Romulo Borja, Datu Masiding Alonto Philhealth's Regional Vice President, City Councilors Maria Lourdes Gaane, George Goking, Edna Dahino, Jay Roa Pascual, Zaldy Ocon, Suzette Magtajas Daba, Dr. Ramon Nery, Dr. Fe Bongcas, Dr. William Bernardo, Dr. Maria Magdalena Juan and city hall department heads.
