MANILA – A huge part of the country will experience rains caused by the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao, the weather bureau said Friday.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the Visayas, Palawan, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Flash floods or landslides are likely due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
“Generally fair weather will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country,” said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Daniel Villamil.
The temperature in Tuguegarao will reach up to 34 °C; and up to 33 °C in Laoag City and Metro Manila.
Davao and Zamboanga’s temperature is up to 32 °C; and up to 31 °C in Tacloban, Iloilo, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail over the entire archipelago. (PNA)
