ILIGAN CITY, Sep 15 (PIA) — The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) modular testing laboratory in this city will be functional by October this year.
City administrator Leony Roy G. Ga shared this statement in a COVID-19 virtual press briefing held today.
Ga said the local government has already conducted a site inspection for a possible area for the construction of the said laboratory.
“Nagconduct og inspeksyon sa posible na site or area sa tukuron na lab. Na identify na naay portion sa city hospital na pwede mabutang ang modular type na lab,” said Ga.
[An inspection of the possible site for the laboratory has been conducted. It was identified that there is a portion of the city hospital that can be an area for the modular type laboratory.]
The city administrator also shared that a benchmarking in Cagayan de Oro City was already done on Saturday by the office of the city’s head of procurement Dexter Rey Sumaoy.
“Naa silay na-identify na usa ka corporation na maoy mutukod. I-assemble and ideliver sa dakbayan,” he added.
[A corporation responsible for the construction has already been identified. It will be assembled and delivered to the city.]
“Ang timeline nato, sa katapusan sa October mahimo na functional ato laboratory,” he said.
[Our timeline is, by the end of October, the laboratory will be functioning.]
