Hoarding?

About 16,000 food packs placed in cartoons are kept in a covered court in a public school in the city’s South Central School as thousands of local residents are complaining for not receiving  cash or in kind assistance from the local government of Cagayan de Oro at the height of the “Enhanced Community Quarantine.” (ECQ).
The food packs  are stored in the covered court since first week of July purportedly by the Department of Social  Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD).
The assigned caretakers alleged that the food packs are intended for the barangays in Cagayan de Oro City when the national Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) placed the city under  ECQ due to the Covid-19 upsurge and the emergence and spread of  the Delta Variant virus in the city.
The national government  released billions of pesos as cash aid to Cagayan de Oro City residents through the city government,  but residents are complaining of receiving only P 1,000 instead of the P4,000  for  a family of four or more.  (Cris Diaz)
