CAGAYAN de Oo City–A senior health official in the city on Thursday clarified that a health permit is not required before a resident is issued Barangay Exit Pass.
Evelyn Veronica Bombeo, admin officer of the City Health Office (CHO), told a local raio station that the CHO dos not issue "safe to travel outside Cagayan de Oro City."
Bombeo reiterated that there is no need for any resident to come to their office to get a healh permit before the issuance of an exit pass from the barangay.
"ID (identification card) is enough to present to authorities," she told Manny Agustero, anchor of Magnum Rapido, a daily radio program aired over Magnum radio, an FM station in Cagayan de Oro, apparently referring to the "APOR" guidelines of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
APOR stands for Authorized Persons Outside Residents.
The government has exempted certain persons from the strict home quarantine measures, according to a report by the Manila Bulletin.
Allowed to go out of their homes are employees of establishments involved in the production, processing, and distribution of food and other basic necessities such as supermarkets, groceries, convenience stores, wet markets, pharmacies and drug stores, banks, and remittance centers; military, police, and other uniformed personnel; personnel involved in health work, border control, emergency, and other mission-critical services; and media with authorization from the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), the report said.
On one hand, Bombeo said that the CHO offers the following services as of April 11: Dental certificate, medical certificate in relation to sick leave, death certificate, and fit to travel.
