Hatag Café & Roastery bringing coffee lovers closer together

BY brewing and serving coffee products sourced out of local farms, Hatag Café & Roastery is in essence uplifting the lives of their farmer-suppliers who have organized cooperatives in Dalwangan and Talakag in Bukidnon, respectively.

That’s why at Hatag Café & Roastery’s shop at 1st Gate, Xavier Heights Subdivision, Masterson Ave., this city, each customer who walks in would know that the iced coffee product that s/he is purchasing is in fact toiled by local farmers.

That is the dream-turned-into-reality of visionary coffee entrepreneur Uriel Rejas.
A culinary graduate from the prestigious Culinary Institute of Cagayan de Oro, Uriel learned the ropes of the coffee trade by immersing himself in a barista course in Gingoog City.

By the time he was ready, he came back to CDO and established Hatag Café & Roastery. Uriel belongs to a second generation of coffee advocates. His father has been brewing coffee for decades and also sourced the beans out of farmers cooperatives in Dalwangan and Talakag.

At Hatag Café & Roastery, the following items are served: espresso with ice cream and cinnamon, espresso with chocolate and ice cream, iced Spanish, Americano with salted caramel foam, black coffee and iced coffee simply with milk. They also serve non-caffeinated drinks such as matcha latte and iced choco.

While you’re dining in at their spacious area, savor some of Uriel’s culinary delicacies such as katsu curry, chicken teriyaki, beef curry, chicken karaage, gyoza and spicy tuna roll.

Hatag Café & Roastery is open every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. They are available through curbside pickup too. Just call them ahead at 09164816950 or message them through Facebook or Instagram (hatagkape).
