Grand alliance to support ‘Sara Duterte Presidency’ launched nationwide

The Sara Duterte Presidency

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – With the Presidential Elections in May 2022 fast approaching, the groups that supported President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, have now consolidated their forces all over the country, and formed a grand alliance called “Sara All Philippines 2022.”

According to National Lead Convenor, Usec Benito Ranque, the consolidation will solidify their efforts and resources to fully convince Mayor Sara Duterte to run for president, and to continue the projects and current programs that would be left unfinished by her father, after he steps down from Malacanang Palace on June 30, 2022.

Rangue said the grand alliance was made up of various volunteer organizations, associations, alliances and coalitions, and they fully supported the presidential bid of the president.

In a press statement send to MDNN, Ranque explained that despite their busy schedules, the ‘SARA All Philippines 2022’ grand alliance was successfully organized, and it now includes new associations and organizations of locals as well as Overseas Filipino Workers. (OFWs)

“We have agreed to form the SARA All Philippines 2022 as the broad coalition for efficient coordination to attain our commonly-shared objectives,” Usec Ranque said.

Ranque said: “All our organizations are herein declared as co-convenors of this new grand alliance, each organization shall have proper representation in the National Coordinating Council and in the National Coordinating Secretariat, which temporarily shall be based in the city of Davao.”

Meanwhile, Engr. Ferdinand A. Bernasor, co-convenor also announced that for efficient coordination, the SARA All Philippines 2022 shall issue from time to time guidelines and plans of joint activities to be agreed upon by consensus.

Bernasor said it is up to the various organization to implement these within their organization, their territories and their spheres of influence. The objective of these guidelines and plans for joint activities shall only have one and only purpose – to advance our goal of convincing and helping Mayor Inday SARA Duterte to run.

The group had earlier launched Mayor Sara Duterte Alliance (MASADA) with Energy Undersecretary Benito Ranque leading the charge.
Ranque said the exodus of political leaders from different parties expressing their open support to the good mayor to run for President in 2022 National Elections, is tremendous.

Seven major political parties, Ranque said, will unify and forge alliance with Sara’s regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP). These parties that forge alliance include PDP-Laban, Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), Nationalista Party (NP) National People’s Coalition (NPC) National Unity Party (NUP Lakas -CMD and People’s Reform Party (PRP).

Ranque said: “The grand alliance is getting stronger and we are waiting for the official announcement of Mayor Sara until October.”
He said in case Mayor Inday Sara decides to join the Presidential race the existing political alliances will rally behind her.

But Mayor Sara clarified she will stay with Hugpong ng Pagbabago and Hugpong Tawong Lungsod and she don’t intend to join any national political party.
Ranque recalled that HNP was already accredited by the Commission on Elections in 2018 as a regional party.

The Masada convenor cited Comelec Resolution 10695, which says that “current registered party has until August 15th to submit a sworn information update status (SIUS) to register any coalition.
“Mayor Sara will be the unifying incoming President,” the Masada convenor told news reporters.
