As a purpose-led organization, leading digital solutions platform Globe seeks to achieve inclusive and sustainable development for all. And to attain this, Globe’s partnership with the media and digital creators is crucial.
The Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA) is marking its 10th year recognizing authentic and outstanding storytelling from journalists and digital media practitioners from different parts of Visayas and Mindanao.
GMEA@10 this year carries the theme “Celebrating Innovation That Uplift Lives with Compassion, Care, and Kindness” to achieve #OneDigitalNation. By collaborating with storytellers, Globe hopes to reach out to more people and carry the country to a better tomorrow.
The Awards recognize reporting and digital content that focuses on digital technology and its impact on the lives of Filipinos, climate action and environmental sustainability, and care for people.
These themes are hinged on Globe’s three sustainability strategy pillars— Digital Nation, Care for the Environment and Care for People— in line with Globe’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) to create a Globe of Good.
“GMEA has been a platform for thousands of stories, and we have been inspired by the way journalists and social media practitioners have taken on the challenge of telling all these impactful and meaningful stories that continue to resonate and make a difference to Filipinos,” said Globe Group’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto.
Submission of entries for GMEA@10 is extended until December 31, 2022 for Digital, Print & Online, Broadcast, and Special Awards categories. Journalists and content creators from digital radio, digital TV, and other hybrid news formats are also encouraged to join.
