Gingoog to celebrate 63rd Charter Day

MISAMIS ORIENTAL – A series of activities is being slated for the upcoming 63rd Charter Day celebration of Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental.

The event will also mark the PAGLAUM 44th Grand Kaliga Festival this July 23, according to Mayor Eric Cañosa in an interview Mindanao Daily.

The celebration will have two major activities – Miss Gingoog 2023 which consists of 16 candidates will be held this July 21; and the 44th Grand Kaliga Festival streetdancing showdown will be held two days after at 1:00 p.m. at the oval.

Miss Gingoog City 2023 will receive P75,000; the first runner-up P50,000 and the second runner-up P30,000.

The grand winner will represent the city in the province’s Kuyamis Festival 2024 and in national beauty competitions.

Gingoog became a city in 1960 via Republic Act 2668.
