3 City Councilors Covid-19 Positive
GENERAL SANTOS CITY – The Sangguniang Panglungsod Session Hall in this city has been placed under lockdown status after three of its city councilors tested positive of the deadly coronavirus disease.
Vice Mayor Tonton Acharon told the media the status of the three city councilors which made them decide to lock down the SP Session Hall and to declare a ‘no official business’ until Friday.
He said the SP Session Hall would undergo disinfection to make sure the virus won’t stay on the SP Hall and instead it would die a natural death due to disinfectant chemicals.
It was also learned that even virtual sessions would not be scheduled so that the city government would focus on fighting against the attack of the virus on the three city councilors and the threats it could give to the people.
MDNN tried to get the names of the three councilors but failed. Their names were not available at press time.
The Vice Mayor has called on his constituents to be vigilant and to follow basic protocols of washing their hands, wear face masks and face shields, and observe one-meter-apart physical distancing when talking to people.
