CAGAYAN DE ORO (MDN Mindanao News digital, June 24) – The core leader of Freedom Traders Club – PLoutos Coin, Kent Troy Sly Lagang is scheduled to be transferred to the Cagayan de Oro City Jail in Barangay Lumbia, police authorities reported.
Yesterday, a mugshot of Lagang was already released to the media and he would be transferred to the Ciy Jail to stay there for years while his estafa case would be heard in court.
A certain Dominic Bollozos has filed syndicated estafa against Lagang docketed under Criminal Case #R-CDO-19-01661-CR. It was not clear, however, if this case was in connection with the FTC-Pluotos Coin scheme masterminded by fugitive Mark Steven Freeman.
“Karon semanaha i-commit na siya sa Lumbia City Jail while ang iyang kaso dunggon sa korte. Walay piyansa ang iyang kaso, unless mo-appeal sila sa korte to post a bail para sa iyang temporaryong kagawasan,” Police Corporal Raymond Daisog told MDN digital in a phone interview.
(This week he would be transferred to the Lumbia City Jail while his case will be heard in court. There’s no bail for his case, unless his lawyer will appeal to the court and it would be granted)
On June 21, 2019, Lagang was arrested by the operatives of Macabalan Police Station 5, after receiving information the suspect was in one of the establishments inside the Limketkai Mall premises.
Meanwhile, Mark Steven Freeman, the founder of Freedom Traders Club – Ploutos Coin was still the subject of police manhunt after he went into hiding to evade arrest from police authorities.
A member of the City Council has earlier revealed to the media that FTC-Ploutos Coin owner allegedly amassed over Eighty Million Pesos in cash.
City Councilor George Goking said he received reports that one of the investors had an investment of Fifty Million Pesos. The government excutive, however did not reveal the identity of the reported investor.
Goking said over a local radio station here, that all he received were unverified reports and he has not known yet who among the businessmen in the city has that big investment of Fifty Million Pesos.
He said if the P50 Million investment was true then Ploutos Coin founder Mark Steven Freeman, whose last known address was Oasis Condominium in Barangay Lapasan, this city, could have amassed not only Fifty Million but more than P80 Million Pesos.
The Regional Trial Court Branch 39 has already issued an arrest warrant on February 12, this year, but it was released to the media only last February 20, 2019. ###
