Twenty-two (22) Peoples Organizations composed mostly of former NPA supporters and NPA members received PhP 300,000.00 each and a Certificate of Accreditation from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XII and Provincial Local Government of Cotabato during the ceremonial turn-over facilitated by DSWD XII and Provincial Task Force on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict of Cotabato Province led by Governor Emmylou “LALA” Taliño-Mendoza on December 6, 2022.
The respective Presidents and Treasurers of the five organizations from Makilala, nine from President Roxas, four from Tulunan and four from Antipas all from Cotabato Province represented their organizations and personally received their organizations’ check.
Moreover, said organizations were organized by the 39th Infantry Battalion and 72nd Infantry Battalion of 10th Infantry Division after they withdrawn their support to the NPA and their communities were declared as insurgency cleared.
The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) is a community-based development program geared towards improving the socio-economic status of the POs and their respective communities.
