The first explosion happened in Barangay Maranding, the business center of Lala town.
Col. Alex Aduca, commander of the Joint Task Force Plebisito, said a small improvised explosive device (IED) was thrown by unidentified person onboard a hauler truck, locally called “kumong-kumong" while another IED exploded at the back of municipal hall in Kauswagan.
The explosive in Kauswagan, according to Aduca, was wrapped with a plastic, placed besides a dump truck.
No casualties has been reported.
"Hindi kasi ma-tao ang mga lugar na yun. Pinapa-check na natin ang mga areas kung may CCTV that would help in the investigation," Aduca said.
The checkpoints has been intensified after the explosion.
"Hindi lang plain view ang inspection na ginagawa natin. We will check every vehicles na dumadaan," Aduca said.
