KAUSWAGAN, Lanao del Norte (PIA)–The Department of Tourism (DOT)-10, in partnership with the local government here, developed the skills of the 60 frontliners of the 6th Organic Asia Congress, a prominent international event for organic agriculture that will be held in June.

As part of the delegation management, the DOT-10 trained the workforce that will welcome the visitors and participants of the congress with the Filipino brand of service.

The three-day training, dubbed “Filipino Brand of Service Excellence and Tour Guiding Orientation,” is based on the foundation of Filipino core values, which include Malikhain, Makatao, Makakalikasan, Makabansa, Masayahin, May Bayanihan, and May Pag-asa.

“This training program enhances what we have already and teaches front liners to be able to exude these qualities in entertaining our tourists so that they have that wonderful experience and will keep coming back to our region, Lanao del Norte and Kauswagan,” said DOT-10 Regional Director Marie Elaine Unchuan.
