DOLE, Labor Day will lead the distribution of government aid , KADIWA, job fair nationwide

In celebration of the 121st Labor Day, the Department of Labor and Employment has prepared three main activities to honor Filipino workers – the Kadiwa ng President Para sa Manggagawa, the awarding of government assistance to workers, and the implementation of simultaneous job fair across the country.

It will be held on May 1st in 16 regions, with the National Capital Region (NCR) being the main place of celebration.

In collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), the labor department will lead the implementation of the President’s Decree for Workers to help workers purchase products at affordable prices.

Kadiwa, led by the DA, enables farmers to sell their products directly to consumers without intermediaries, and gives them greater income while offering quality products within reach -affordable value to consumers.

The labor department will also lead the distribution of assistance through salary to the beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), and Government Internship Program (GIP) programs throughout the region. .

Meanwhile, for faster job management, simultaneous job fairs will be held at various SMs and Robinson’s malls nationwide, with the main job fair site being in NCR.

The Department encourages job seekers to be prepared with the necessary documents in their application, such as resume or curriculum vitae, certificate of employment for former workers, diploma, and transcript of records.

Other government agencies, such as the DTI, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will also provide their respective services. ); and pre-employment service agencies, such as the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG, Philhealth, and Philippine Postal Corporation in said occasion.

This year’s Labor Day celebration is themed, “Housing, Affordable, Affordable, Benefits of Stable Jobs for the Filipino Worker.”
