DILG Iligan hires more contact tracers

ILIGAN CITY, Sep. 15 (PIA) – To ensure timely conduct of contact tracing activities, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) here is hiring additional contact tracers to be deployed in parts of the city.

DILG Iligan City Director Edward G. Bhagwani announced the hiring in a virtual press briefing held Tuesday afternoon.

“Ang atong pagdawat sa applications taman lang karong Friday kay isubmit namo ang (we will be accepting applications until Friday because we have to submit the) shortlist for the recommendation for their contract as contact tracers by next week,” Bhagwani said.

Interested applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree relevant to the job, preferably on allied medical courses and criminology.

They must also be skilled in data gathering, research, and documentation; must be able to interview Covid-19 cases and close contacts to gather data on travel history and conduct health assessments; must possess the ability to advocate public health education messages; and must have an investigative capability.

Applicants should submit Personal Data Sheet, National Bureau of Investigation clearance, drug test result, and a Letter of Intent addressed to DILG 10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, CESO III.

Bhagwani said applications may be submitted at the DILG Iligan Office or through email at [email protected].
