CAMP OSITO D BAHIAN, Malaybalay City – The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) awarded a total of Php11.808 million to two hundred fifty-one (251) Former Rebels (FRs) thru the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E- CLIP) on August 18, 2022 at Kaamulan Folk Arts Theater, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
All the FRs received Php15,000 as immediate assistance while one hundred twenty (120) FRs received Php50, 000 each as livelihood assistance and sixty eight (68) FRs for the firearms remuneration.
The program highlights the following; turnover of firearms, release of livelihood assistance, immediate assistance, reintegration assistance and firearm remuneration also part of it is the Oath of Allegiance of Former Rebels to the Government of Bukidnon lead by Governor Rogelio Neil P Roque, Provincial Governor of Bukidnon.
In his message, Governor Roque stated that, “As a governor and a leader of this province it is my honor and gratitude that you’ve return to the folds of the law. This significant activity is a proof that the government did not forget to help those individual who’s in need. It’s been a decades, since this insurgency started and today I did not see any reason that we brothers and sisters fought its other for the sake of belief and dignity”.
“As of now, the government is very sincere in its effort to finally end this local communist armed conflict. We are so grateful that you had finally decided to be back to the folds of the law and choose to live peacefully and harmoniously in the community together with your families. We are asking you to help the government by compelling your comrades that are still active in the armed struggle in the mountains and make known to them the E-CLIP program of the government. May this activity serve as the inspiration to others to avail the E-CLIP.
