DICT opens application for another DigitalJobsPH training

MARAWI CITY, Aug. 25 (PIA) — The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is set to conduct another DigitalJobsPH technical training in this city and in Lanao del Sur.

Offering various tracks of free online technical training, this year’s DigitalJobsPh is DICT’s response to the commitment of the government in providing online opportunities in the midst of the coronavirus disease pandemic. 

DICT-Mindanao Cluster 3 Regional Director Alimbzar P. Asum said in an interview that the training aims to enhance the information and communications technology (ICT) skills and competencies of the residents that will help them in venturing into the digital world.

“The very purpose of this is to enhance ICT skills and capabilities nang sa gayon ay pwede na sila maging online worker,” he said. 

 Formerly known as Rural Impact Sourcing or RIS,  DigitalJobsPh aims to provide alternative learning options and opportunities for the people during the quarantine period through skills development in the comfort of their homes. 

DICT-Mindanao Cluster 3 has opened the applications for interested residents of Lanao del Sur. 

Interested applicants must be a resident of the province, has a laptop or desktop computer, and has a stable and reliable Internet connection.

Accepted scholars will be trained with ICT-skills and knowledge particularly in social media marketing and advertising.

The technical training will run for about two months with training sessions for 16 days, 4 hours per session for a total of 64 hours.
