First District Council Representative and Chair of the Committee on Education, Science, and Technology, Arts and Culture, Hon. Pilar Braga, filed a resolution commending the Department of Science and Technology XI (DOST XI) for the conduct of the annual Regional Science And Technology Week (RSTW) celebration, which serves as a venue to herald the Science, Engineering, Technology, and Innovation promotion that will benefit the people and the City of Davao.
The RSTW is the localized celebration of the National Science and Technology Week which serves as an avenue to highlight the critical importance of Science, Technology, and Innovation in society through a series of activities with participants from various sectors.
The annual conduct of the celebration was commended for showcasing and promoting outputs of Science and Technology initiatives such as technologies and innovations, researches on emerging issues of society, and outstanding Science-related programs and projects to the public.
Last December 12-14, 2022, DOST XI hosted the RSTW with a series of webinar activities covering current climate issues, emerging technologies, and opportunities in the 21st digital century.
The filed resolution recognizes the collective efforts of DOST XI to promote the critical importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to the country.
