Madriaga further said through the Kadiwa on Wheels, products can be easily accessed by a consumer through the area’s food terminal assisted by the department by providing equipment and facilities such as freezers and weighing scales.

A stationary reefer van, elf truck, and dairy milk vehicle will be established in a barangay’s covered court where the products will be displayed.

Various products of Farm Grown Association of Claveria, Northern Mindanao Federation of Dairy Cooperative, Miarayon Talakag Highland Farmers Association, Truechef Choice, and Nas Agricom Enterprises are also displayed through the Kadiwa Express at DA-10 Compound, Antonio Luna St., here, April 6.

In terms of securing the area, “Ato gihapong gi-maintain ang social distancing ug ang insaktong pamaagi sa disinfection aron masiguro ang safety sa mga mamalitay. No mask, no entry pud ta dinhi (We also observe the social distancing policy and the appropriate way of disinfection to ensure the safety of the buyers. We also impose no, mask no entry in the area),” Madriaga said.

Among the farm and fishery products that can be purchased from Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita include dressed chicken, honey, turmeric powder, sweet potato, bottle gourd, radish, squash, cucumber, banana, string beans, water yam, eggplant, avocado, chayote, and more.

For this week, the Kadiwa On Wheels is scheduled to sell goods at Barangay Patag covering Apovel and Terry Hills, April 6; Barangay Iponan, April 7; and Xavier Estates and Camella Homes, April 8.

Kadiwa (Katuwang sa Diwa at Gawa para sa Masanang Ani at Mataas na Kita) is a marketing strategy of the DA which directly connects the food producers to the consumers, thus, lessening the cost of the products. (RTP/PIA10)
