COPC relaunches “Meet the Press” program, covered by MDNN, JaoTV, RMN, others

In an elaborate ceremony held, February 24, at the SM Uptown Events Center, the COPC held the relaunching, with the presence of COPC exec vice president Allan Mediante, who is also editor in chief of Mindanao Daily News, and Ms. Ivy Guantero of SM Cag de Oro.

Coverages of this weekly program (which would be held at the COPC bldg.. and SM malls) will be provided by MDNN Digital Channel and  Mindanao Dally News; Business Week, of the Sudaria Group of Publications);  Jao TV and DearBC TV; RMN;  the Rock FM under Philipp Ken Jaudian, and all other copc member radio and TV groups.

The weekly  program, according to Dr. Jaudian would invite government officials, as well as business leaders who would shed light on their various on-going projects for the benefit of transparency for the public. “We are not going to charge anything for the presence of invited guests whether from public or private institutions, not even sponsorships on food, snacks or lunch  (as what could have been an unethical practice by some groups before), “Jaudian elaborated.  He added that the COPC and sponsors like SM will handle the reception logistics.

Mediante, on the other hand, said the resurgence of the “Meet the Press” under the present COPC administration will help combat disinformation, fake news, and political exploitation. “Anybody from the highest echelons of governance in the public and private sectors, are free to join us, present their issues which are of prime importance to public knowledge and information dissemination,” he added.

The COPC “:Meet the Press” will be held every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12 noon, and will be anchored by COPC director Jao Gumapac.
