February 21, 2023 | The Consumers, Marketing, Producers, and Logistics Cooperative Movement (CMPL Coop Movement) officially launched at Great Eastern Hotel- Aberdeen Court, Quezon City, and held its 1 st National Leaders Convention.
The CMPL Coop Movement was organized and its officers were elected during the CMPL National Summit last December 2, 2022, at the Centennial Arena, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, which was attended by almost eight (800) hundred participants.
It was organized for the purpose of helping those underprivileged and marginalized sectors in the country by means of promoting and protecting the rights and welfare of all sectors, contributing proactively to the peace, stability, and prosperity of the unrepresented sectors, creating a structure, systems, procedures, and mechanisms to serve as an arm, promoting a project, education, training, to the respective beneficiaries and enhance the economic and social status and to have self-help or self-employment as an engine for economic growth and poverty alleviation.

The CMPL 1 st National Leaders Convention activity was organized by the officers — Chairperson Dr. Andy Nestor Ryan Pazon, Vice-Chairperson Engr. Danilo C. Llena, Secretary General Nestor P. Carlon Jr., Treasurer Carmen C. Bautista, and Auditor Myrna Cantillana — and was attended by its Regional Chairpersons and cooperative leaders nationwide.
The main event of the activity was the Declaration of Commitments and Approval of Resolution that will strengthen the CMPL Coop Movement of its purposes and aspiration to become a future-ready, revitalized, resilient, and relevant movement that is responsive to the demands of society.
The event was graced by Cooperative Development Authority Assistant Secretaries- Asec. Pendatun Disimban, Asec. Virgilio Lazaga, and Asec. Abdulsalam Guinomla to express their support to the CMPL Coop Movement.
