The Cagayan de Oro City Council headed by Vice Mayor Jocelyn ‘Bebot’ Rodriguez has confirmed the appointment of Ms Ivy Guantero as the city’s new CIO under the leadership of Mayor Klarex Uy. Guantero vacated the position held by Ms Maricel Casiño for many years.
Ms Ivy Guantero was born and raised in Cagayan de Oro City and she was been the public relations manager of SM Cagayan de Oro for many years.
She was been very active being the company’s representative in dealing with public relations, most especially the tri-media in the city.
As the new CIO, Ms Guantero is expected to exceptionally deliver what is expected of her being a veteran in public relation matters.
The committee on laws chaired by Ian Mark Nacaya was instrumental in adopting the resolution which led to the final confirmation of Ms Guantero to the CIO position at the City Hall.
