City announces ‘ayuda’ for closed business establishments

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – City Information Officer Maricel Casiño-Rivera yesterday reiterated that the distribution of family “ayuda” (relief packs) for closed extablishments affected by the pandemic is now underway.

Rivera said establishments must register with the city in order to get the food packs prepared by the City Government, especially the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD).

Rivera reminded the business establishments to bring their representatives to the distribution centers who shall personally get what are alloted for their employees and staff, and they will be the one to distribute to their employees house to house.

The city information officer also denied reports the food packs unloaded in covered courts in Barangay Nazareth and Iponan, will be brought to Misamis Oriental.

“Atong klorohon nga ongoing ang atong distribution karon ug dili tinood ang nanggawas nga balita nga ang mga food packs nga anaa sa atong distribution centers pagadalhon ngadto sa Misamis Oriental,” the CIO said.

Meanwhile, Magnum Radio anchorman Manny Agustero said the city only distributed the food packs after their station exposed the alleged hoarding of relief packs in covered courts in the city.
