Camp Aryahorst To Open Soon

Feeling stressed from the hustle and bustle of city life? Are you having anxieties in life and you need to recharge and commune with nature?
Well this is your chance to prepare for that family/barkada road trip or just simply drive out to relax and unwind.

Nestled in a promontory which you can see at a distance, a new private modern chalet rises along Route 955 is set to open its doors to the public soon.
Located just 500 meters from Doalnara Restoration Society in Sitio Civoleg, Brgy Lunotan, Gingoog City, CAMP ARYAHORST is just situated on top of a hill just beside the highway

Meanwhile, Cafe 387, a coffee shop will be opening soon at Camp Aryahorst. This will be a good stopover for coffee break. Interior works are already ongoing.
The place is located almost 4,000 feet above sea level, thus having a cooler weather with a majestic view of both Mt. Balatukan and Mt Lumot. Camp Aryahorst is already situated in Mt. Sumagaya. A bit of a side story, when Cebu Pacific Flight 387 crashed, the rescuers main camp is situated in Mt. Sumagaya the site of the current memorial shrine. The airplane crashed in Mt. Lumot.

The modern chalet was designed by D.E Architects according to the specification of the owner. The chalet has to be able to connect to the story of the area. Thus the main building of the chalet was designed to look like an airport control tower and its second floor mezzanine recreates an access ramp from the airport to the airplanes door with its all glass construction. Thus Camp Aryahorst is a nod to the Flight 387 memorial shrine.

Camp Aryahorst is named after the owner’s pet Shih Tzu dog named “Arya” and “Horst” which is German for “nest”. Accordingly, when the family goes to work,
Arya usually gets their used clothes and makes a ‘nest’ out of it and sleeps on it until they arrive home. They added “camp” because they loved camping out.
Thus, the modern Chalet is deemed a place to relax and find solace to recharge. Camp Aryahorst is their comfort zone, a place for exclusive friends to wind and dine, away from the sham and drudgery of the world where they can breathe fresh air and enjoy each other’s company in a cool climate.

Many travelers including bikers have already dropped by the chalet thinking if it is already open to the public. It is a perfect stopover along Route 955 since it is right at the boundary between Claveria and Gingoog City.

The modern Chalet has four rooms, of which three of these rooms can accommodate 4 people each while the one big room is good for 6 people. Perfect for family and barkada overnight stayover. Simply relax and enjoy the cold climate by the cozy fireplace.

It has a big lounge in the mezzanine overlooking the road and a great view of the surrounding mountain ranges.

A mere walking distance from the chalet are three waterfalls, a cool dip is very inviting to weary travelers just choose one whichever of the waterfalls takes your fancy.

Meanwhile, Cafe 387, a coffee shop will be opening soon at Camp Aryahorst. This will be a good stopover for coffee break. Interior works are already ongoing.
