‘ERAP’ COVID-19 POSITIVE!!
BREAKING NEWS (MDNN News Network March 29) — Former President of the country, Joseph Ejercito Estrada, was brought to the hospital Sunday night. His son, Jinggoy has confirmed his father contracted the ‘killer’ coronavirus disease.
But former Senator Jinggoy also said to the media that his father is now in stable condition.
In his FB account, Jinggoy said “Sa aking mga kababayan. Nais ko pong ipaalam sa inyo na ang aking ama, na si dating pangulong Joseph Estrada, ay isinugod namin sa ospital kagabi sa kadahilanan ng panghihina ng kanyang katawan.”
Jinggoy’s brother JV Ejercito also posted on Twitter that his father was positive of the virus and he asked for people’s prayer to make his father survive the crisis and to keep fighting the ‘killer’ virus.
“Please pray for my father who has tested positive for COVID-19 and was rushed to the hospital. Please pray for all those who are likewise fighting this virus,” former senator JV was also quoted as saying in his Twitter post.
Jake Estrada, the former president’s youngest son, also asked for prayer for his father.
“Our dad, former president Joseph Estrada, tested positive for COVID-19. He’s now confined to a hospital and is in stable condition. Please pray for his recovery and the recovery of everyone affected by the virus,”Jake said.
Erap, 83, is the 13th president of the country. Political bickerings made him to serve only for two years and he was ousted in 2001. His political rivals have succeeded in pushing him out of power due to massive anti-corruption protests.
Former president Estrada in 2007 got convicted of plunder and the highest court sentenced him to up to forty years imprisonment. Luckily, Erap’s successor, then President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo also pardoned the beleaguered president.
Please pray for my father who has tested positive for COVID-19 and was rushed to the hospital.
Please pray for all those who are likewise fighting this virus.
