Bohol ARBs receive agri lands

Ninety-nine (99) agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in the town of San Miguel in Bohol province received a total of 113 hectares of agricultural land from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to improve their economic lives.

The activity is in line with the stand of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., through the leadership of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, to provide farmers with agricultural lands.

The distributed lands cover the former landholdings of Primo Almedilla, et al., in Barangay Corazon in the said town.

Leomides Villareal, DAR Central Visayas regional director, said the lands given to the farmers would be a big help in sustaining their daily needs.

“Aside from providing lands, the DAR will also provide you with necessary support services to make your lands productive and help you increase your earnings,” he told the farmers.

Villareal also reminded the ARBs of their obligation to their newly-acquired properties, such as taking good care of it and religiously paying their land taxes.

The DAR’s support services include provision of infrastructure facilities, agricultural machineries, agricultural inputs, agricultural technologies, training and seminars, and access to credit institutions, among others.
