The Bureau of Customs (BOC), Port of Davao, donated two 40-footer container vans of assorted Frozen Tuna to the City Government of Davao. The said donations have been turned over to selected beneficiaries by the local government where they aim to combat malnutrition by donating frozen food supplies to the households of the said recipients.

The two containers were donated to the residents of Brgy. The donation activity was witnessed by the representatives from BOC Davao, the City Government of Davao, and BFAR.

The donation of said shipment was approved by the Secretary of Finance in relation to Customs Administrative Order (CAO) No. 03-2020 and Section 1148 of Republic Act No. 10863, also known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

BOC Davao led by District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria, CESO V, will continue to monitor the movement of abandoned goods and expedite its disposition and improve yard utilization at its different container terminals under Collection District XII – Port of Davao.

These are all under the steady hands of Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz in continuously leading the organization to international standards of customs services for its clients.
