BOC Davao Exceeds 2022 Target Ahead of Schedule

A month before the year ends, the Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao, including its sub-ports in General Santos City, Parang, and Mati, has already exceeded its annual target for the year 2022 after having collected 40.49 billion pesos in duties and taxes or 0.81% positive deviation against its assigned target of 40.17 billion pesos.

The Port of Davao’s revenue collection performance was due to the collective effort of the customs employees and its stakeholders, consistent with the 8-point economic agenda of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure sound macroeconomic fundamentals by improving bureaucratic efficiency and ensuring sound fiscal management.

For the month of November 2022, the said Port had also exceeded its monthly revenue target by 1.42% with a total revenue collection of 3.47 billion pesos against its Php 3.41 billion target.

Through the leadership of Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, BOC has also already exceeded its whole-year collection target for 2022 as of early November this year, marking the bureau’s highest revenue performance to date. The agency collected 745.50 billion pesos as of November 11, surpassing its collection target of 721.52 billion for the entire year by 23.98 billion or 3.27%.
