BOC Davao Conducts Governance Sharing with PPA, Discusses updates on Port Operations and Policies

Bureau of Customs (BOC), Port of Davao, conducted governance sharing through the invitation of the of the 3rd Quarter Facility Security Advisory Committee (PFSAC) and Port Management Advisory Council (PMAC) Meeting with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) last September 28, 2022, at the Philippine Ports Authority Training Room, Sasa Port, Davao City.

Among the matters discussed in the meeting were the updates on the operation of Sasa Port, PPA operations Memorandum Order No. 01-2022 on the Interim Guidelines on PPA Accreditation and Permit to Operate, and Office for Transport (OTS) updates where it aims to strengthen the operational safety of the Port.

District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria CESO V, was represented by the Deputy Collector for Operations, Atty. Dante A. Maranan and Customs Intelligence and Investigation (CIIS) Service Chief, IO-II Felix A. Espino III.

Collection District XII will continue to collaborate with partner agencies to focus on enhancing trade facilitation efforts that can help boost the economic development of the Davao Region under the leadership of District Collector, Atty. Austria and BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz’s drive to strengthen the core mandates of BOC.
