MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Board Member Buhisan yesterday announced he is fully supportive of the scholarship program for nursing students.
In an interview with Mindanao Daily News, he said the provincial government of Misamis Oriental through the pro-active leadership of Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia, is aiming to have nursing professionals that will serve the province.
“Atong i-encourage ang mga community colleges sa province nga mag open ug nursing education para suportahan nato ang vision sa atong gobernador,” Buhisan said.
He said the provincial government is supporting MSU-Naawan because this year nursing courses will be opened in said school.
“The provincial government offers a subsidy of around P7-Million to MSU-Naawan nursing course para suportahan lang gyud ang ilang programa.”

Board Member Buhisan said that once a student becomes a scholar of the province and graduates, they will return the goodwill by working 2 years in serving the community.
“After serving two years in the province, of course with salary, the nursing professionals can go on their own, most especially if they decide to work overseas,” Buhisan explained.
