METRO MANILA, Philippines (Special MDN News Feature) – Although Facebook deleted his original “Mayaman Challenge” videos but some netizens and vloggers were able to save them and post them on Youtube.

Francis Leo Marcos, the newest sensation on Youtube and Facebook amid the coronavirus disease crisis, has accused that some homeowners at Green Meadows Subdivision may have a hand in deleting his videos on Facebook, saying that he urged them to go out of their shells and used their millions to help the dying Filipinos, who’ve been badly hit by the ‘lockdown’ implemented in Metro Manila, after the virus contamination surged and the death toll has risen to over a hundred.

FACEBOOK SENSATION

“Yung video sa Facebook pina-delete nila. Bakit ganun? Ito na tumutulong na nga tayo. Yung video mayrong 200,000 viewers yun dahil andaming nagugutom ngayon na humihingi ng tulong.

During his announcement of infusing his P200 Million liquid asset to help poor Filipinos, his FB messenger was flooded with people asking for help. Disgruntled and hungry netizens mobbed his FB messenger from all over the country praised his act of heroism – and being the first rich Filipino who showed willingness to help the government by way of giving them sacks of rice to survive the crisis.

YOUTUBE SENSATION

As his videos were deleted in Facebook after going live, Leo was advised to save his videos on Youtube in which he also did.

In a span of one week, Francis Leo Marcos new Youtube subscribers have reached half a million active Filipino fans. As such, the unknown businessman in Metro Manila became an instant Youtube sensation. We have checked his Official Youtube Channel and Mr Marcos now has a total of 573,000 subscribers.

Right now, his Youtube videos are also flooded with comments and became viral as people continue pour their praises and encouragements to the beleagured man of the masses.

Marcos got angry as his two truckloads of sacks of rice were not allowed entry into the subdivision. His workers have to manually transfer them to his house. These two trucks were the first batches of rice from Nueva Ecija supposed to be delivered right away to Payatas

FRANCIS IS ACCUSED OF BEING ‘MAYABANG’

Some people call him lodi (idol) but others also call him ‘mayabang.'(boastful) But Marcos says this is him. He maybe accused of being boastful because he is boasting his wealth allegedly in the guise of helping the poor Filipinos in the slums, the small time daily-paid workers and all those affected by the lockdown who lost their jobs and now clinging to the government for food support.

“Wala akong pakialam kong niyayabang ko ang aking pagtulong. Ang pakay ko lang po dito ay magigising ang mga mayayaman na kailangan natin tumulong. Tayong mga may kaya sa buhay. Hindi na po ito kaya ng gobyerno. Mga mayayamang politiko huwag na kayong magtago. Ito na ang pagkakataong magtulungan tayo para sa ating mga kababayang naghihirap ngayon dahil sa pandemic.”

RICH PEOPLE WHO RESPONDED TO HIS CHALLENGE

Since Francis Leo Marcos started his “Mayaman Challenge” many rich families have accepted the challenge and also donated sacks of rice and groceries. Even the small time Youtubers and ordinary people who were hit in the heart also helped in their own small ways of giving.
