Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 generates total sales of around Php1.4 million from the series of Diskwento Caravan Balik Eskwela Edition it rolled out in the provinces.
The Balik Eskwela caravan served 6,099 customers and partnered a number of suppliers, distributors, and retailers that sell basic goods and school supplies at affordable or discounted prices.
It was held in the following locations: Sinacaban Bus Terminal, Misamis Occidental on August 17; Iligan City Public Plaza, Lanao del Norte on August 18-19; VNHS Covered Court, Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon on August 18-19; and Cagayan de Oro City Hall Mini Park on August 25-28.
On the other hand, DTI Camiguin conducted an in-store Diskwento Caravan in selected stores selling school supplies in Mambajao on August 17-19, 2022: VO Salcedo Supermart, Gaisano Camiguin, Brianna Bryce School and Office Supplies, Botawan Office and School Supplies, DL Bonita Merchandizing (main branch), and DL Bonita Merchandizing (fronting Du Eksam, Inc. branch).
Diskwento Caravan is an initiative of DTI that seeks to ease the financial burden of consumers by partnering with manufacturers and producers of basic necessities to sell their products at more affordable or discounted prices.
