MISAMIS ORIENTAL – In a display of unwavering commitment to education and youth development, Governor Peter M. Unabia spearheaded a series of groundbreaking and capsule laying ceremonies in Lagonglong and Balingasag, Misamis Oriental. These back-to-back events represent a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of education in the province.
Unabia initiated two substantial projects in Lagonglong. At Dampil Elementary School, a P6,257,845.91 investment in a Covered Court and School Stage rehabilitation is set to create an ideal learning environment, accommodating not only academic activities but also sports and events.
Simultaneously, Dampil National High School saw a P5,772,946.53 project for a Covered Court and School Stage rehabilitation. These projects underscore the administration’s commitment to youth-centric activities within school premises, ensuring students access to excellent facilities for both academics and extra-curricular.
The governor’s dedication extends across Balingasag as he laid the foundation for another two substantial projects. The Mandangoa Child Development Center, with a budget of P3,186,815.80, and the Barangay Poblacion 1 Child Development Center, funded at P3,208,469.89. These initiatives signify a nurturing environment for the youngest minds in Misamis Oriental, paving the way for a brighter future.
During the ceremonies, Governor Unabia emphasized that these projects represent more than bricks and mortar. They embody a vision for a strong educational system and a brighter future for the people of Misamis Oriental, ensuring that every child has access to quality education and growth opportunities.
