Archt Guerra leads Digal road concreting project groundbreaking ceremony

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao – Ministry of Public Works MPW Minster ARCHT. EDUARD UY GUERRA and delegates lead the Groundbreaking Ceremony in Concreting of Digal Road (Phase 2), Buluan, Maguindanao

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao – Ministry of Public Works is tasked to deliver basic infrastructure services through its programs, projects, and services. These are implemented by the eight (8) District Engineering Offices and four (4) Area Equipment Services as support to the social and economic well-being of its constituents living in the five (5) provinces of BARMM – Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi as well as the newly included City of Cotabato and 63 barangays of the Cotabato province.

BARMM-MPW, in 2019, is still responsible for roads, bridges, ports, flood control & shore protection, and water resource development systems, and community-impact projects. MPW performs the following: (a) infrastructure planning, such as roads and bridges, flood control, water resource projects and other public works, and (b) maintenance of national roads and bridges, and major flood control system and (c) regulating the safety of all public and private structures in the region by adopting appropriate laws, policies and rules.

Since the turnover to the Bangsamoro Government in February 2019, the Regional Office of the BARMM-MPW has maintained its steadfast commitment to deliver utmost quality infrastructure facilities and services.

It also aims to further enhance the transparency and accountability by closely monitoring the accomplishments of its various instrumentalities as part of the Bangsamoro moral governance operationalized in the Ministry.
