From an agriculture expert to a newspapering guru

His presence was felt by his new colleagues right away
Working very hard everyday in both sales and editorial, this man easily curved a name not only in the mainstream media community but as well as in government and private sector. He easily made his presence felt and created his own list of contacts that ultimately helped him propel his marketing campaign in Cagayan de Oro and even in Misamis Oriental.
The management of the paper also felt him tremendously as he continued to increase sales month after month. But he was not even contented of this growing accolade and commendations until his name was finally called in a fitting ceremony as the number 1 salesman of the company in Cagayan de Oro City…Thus, he has curved his name into the pedestal of success as Mr. Dante Sudaria, the man to beat in sales and marketing.
Although his huge background and expertise was more on agriculture but he managed to establish a good plan of actions and gave his 100 percent focus in marketing.
The following year, Dante Sudaria bought his own motorcycle to easily reach to his destinations during media launch, press conferences and scheduled sales calls. His new mobility tripled his productivity in a month. Sales agents of the main headquarters like Ric Ociones, Jasper Uy, Ercel Maandig, the late Pol Dael, the late Mario Parba, Ben Balce, Riza Ares, Jun dela Cerna and the late Ed Maliza have also felt the strong presence of Sudaria few months after he was transferred in the city.
One day, the management challenged the sales agents to put up branches in the city to the places they like. Ric Ociones collaborated with other agents and put up their own sales office branch in Divisoria. Riza Ares also went on her own and established a sales office along Pabayo-Tiano Sts.
I was also challenged by that said offer so I've decided to stop my editorial duties and put up my own sales office in Ilaya Carmen. Obviously, it wasn't a good decision because after a year I closed shop. Then followed by my other co-sales agents. Until only one was left – and that was the sales office of Mr Sudaria along the national highway in Barangay Lapasan.
He succeeded maybe because his Lapasan branch was very strategic, aside from the fact that he installed large tarps to get noticed by advertisers.
Well, as I said. He has also built a list of connections from both private and government institutions and he was not only dependent on walk in sales. Sudaria continued to rise against all odds and hitting sales month after month.
Time to shine on his own
After several years of leading the marketing and sales of that company owned by a Chinese-Filipino, the young and energetic entrepreneur has finally decided to start his own newspaper publishing business. So he left his first company and put up his own firm. He launched his first newspaper "Business Week Mindanao" and the rest was history.
Sudaria was all fired up and really put his heart and soul into his newly found company and met clients after clients. It was a final decision to shine even more – now that his ultimate dream of starting his own company was realized…To be continued.
