Action speaks louder than words

By: Ben Contreras

Action speaks louder than words. Damn it!

We seem to have forgotten why the late dictator was finally ousted. It was because the people finally acted, and acted together, cohesively.

BBM’s complete turn-around after visiting China was one dictated by “action agad”. Call it betrayal against China, but he was able to do it because he just did it without saying a word. They sold our gold without our knowledge, perhaps only those around him knew and got something in return. Not one of them ever told us where the proceeds went. Nobody ever asked. How much was the flood control project, 600billion? Were there really projects of that nature? Did anyone from their side ever asked or tried to investigate? None. They don’t speak but they did it anyway. Many things happened and continue to happen because they don’t speak about it, they just do it.

And here we are, condemning, protesting, rally here, rally there, issuing news like imaginations. No police in SMNI siege, no guns, and what happened. That incident could have triggered something already.

Now, we are treated into watching a zarzuela, a kangaroo court in motion. Maliwanag pa sa sikat ng araw na panggigit at panghaharass lang ang lahat. They acted like princes and kings, put our vice president and former president on the stand for questioning as if they are clean and without bad records or shady past.

So, why are they able to do all these? It’s because action speaks louder than words!

Sabi pa ni Dr. Lorraine Badoy, “kung may dapat gawin, gawin na.” I don’t know exactly what she meant, but there’s something in her statement. The Maisug guy in Cebu, “kinahanglan na tang mulihok”. I say, yes. It’s overdue.

My gut feeling is that the election has long been over. If they can dictate Comelec to disqualify the opponent of Tambaloslsos and have her name removed from the ballot list, who can stop them from rigging the election.

Evil triumphs when good people do nothing. Surely, it’s not hard to understand what it means.

There is a piece of news recently that says, vice mayor candidate Zaldy Ocon has filed a disqualification case against father and son UY. If true, it could jeopardize everything for the two. Oca Moreno has a friend, Manny Pangailinan. Pangilinan is allied with BBM. The game is not about which party you belong but with whom are you closed with.

Moreno and Suan must be smiling now.

This will put to the test how strong are the DDS in CdeO. If Klarex gets disqualified, the beneficiary could be Pompey Lavina if he plays his card well.

It’s been asked before and I’m going to ask this question again. Where are the good people of CdeO? I can name a few, Elpie Paras, Ralph Paguio, Robert dela Serna, Antonio Uy, Gonzalo Go, Gigi Go, and who do you have in mind.

Time to get involved and not just complain and criticize.

Would US Pres. Donald Trump be a villain or a world peace hero? His statements are sometimes contradictory.  But a summit among Trump, Xi and Putin could be a move toward peace and less US military involvement around the world.

So much of US national budget are going to the wrong priorities. If Trump sends home their soldiers, the money saved and the soldiers as a mammoth work force could reinvigorate US economy. But that is of course a big IF. Would the Deep State allow him to disrupt their business interest?

Let’s wait.
