88 new soldiers of the 6ID have been sworn in

Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – Eighty-eight new Private members of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division have been sworn in at the same time they graduated from their Basic Military Training at the 6th Division Training School, Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat , Maguindanao this Friday (October 7, 2022).

The new Privates belong to CSC Class 708-2021 (Bagtikan) or New People’s Defense Forces with 19 women and 69 men.

Here are those who topped them: Top 1 – Private Sharmaine Salvilla of Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, 96.15%; Physical Fitness Proficiency Award, 97.78%, Top 2 – Private Michelle Abalos of Pigcawayan, North Cotabato, 95.93%; Leadership Award and Top 3 – Private Syndie Zamora of Kidapawan City 95.74%.

Private Mark Anthony Nietes received the Top Gun Award after achieving a 100% Marksmanship rating.

Major General Roy M Galido, Joint Task Force Central and 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division Commander was the guest of honor and speaker at the graduation ceremony of the new soldiers.

Maj. urged. Gen. New soldiers should learn to manage their wages and save while they are still in the service and avoid illegal drugs or anything prohibited by law.

“I also encourage the parents of the graduates to support your children while they are still in the service” said Maj. Gen. Galido at the same time as saying “your children belong to the government, so entrust them to us”.
