Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – Major General Roy Galido, Joint Task Force Central and 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division Commander welcomed the Interim Chief Minister of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, Al Haj during his visit on Friday August 19, 2022.
In a courtesy call, MGen. Galido received Chief Minister Ebrahim and was enjoined with other officers and staffs of the Command.
“I have always considered my visit to 6ID as of great significance and an opportune time to sit beside the commander and point-out important matters to discuss”, Chief Minister Ebrahim said and who always reiterate that the BARMM Government is in all support for JTF Central especially in partnering to provide solution to Rido settlement in Maguindanao area.
JTFC and BARMM will establish a mechanism to be proactive to prevent RIDO (Clan Wars) to avoid social displacement and disrupts the peaceful life of ordinary residents of the Bangsamoro Region.
“Clan war greatly affects the peace and order as well as the progress of the province.
I am very satisfied to the actions of 6ID including the local government being our partner in crafting solutions to disputing Moro family”, the Chief Minister added.
Both BARMM Chief and 6ID Commander expressed their mutual commitment in building peace efforts to ensure inclusive solutions for the interest and welfare of all Bangsamoro.
“There’s no point in keeping back to violence like this clan war”, MGen. Galido said and who also emphasize that the JTFC supports the BARMM in its endeavor to end clan war and have a peaceful and progressive region.
“Rest assured that the 6ID and JTFC will jointly do our part to achieve peace and development in the province,” says MGen. Galido.
