CLAVERIA, Misamis Oriental (PIA)—The Combat Proficiency Streamer Awards are given to the performing companies of the 58th Infantry “Dimalulupig” Battalion (58IB) for their gallantry in the face of battle at the 58IB Headquarters, Sitio Migbanday, Poblacion, Claveria, September 24.
Under the 58IB’s mandate is to end insurgency in Misamis Oriental with its effort to maintain peace and order while eliminating extremist influence within the area of operation, the Combat Proficiency Streamer Awards aims to motivate its workforce by giving high regard to individual and unit achievements, invaluable contributions, and services of soldiers.
The Awarding of Combat Proficiency Streamers is one of the many best practices of the 58IB that will be awarded to the following companies of the unit: Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Alpha “Vigilance” Company, Bravo “Black Mamba” Company, Charlie “Compact” Company, and Delta Company for extraordinary heroism in action against armed threat groups within the Battalion Area of Operations (AOR) in support to the campaign plan “PAGKAB-OT MISOR 2020.”
The following companies valorously fought the NPA terrorists in the most remote and rugged areas in the Eastern Misamis Oriental and the municipality of Malitbog in Bukidnon, eliminating the threats to the peace and prosperity of the people of the said provinces. The companies displayed gallantry in confronting the Sub-Regional Committee (SRC1), North Central Mindanao Region Command (NCMRC) beyond the call of duty.
