CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Five killed, three injured in a road mishap in Gitagum, Misamis Oriental Thursday, a police report relased Friday said.
Police investigator Junar Jarmin, of the Gitagum police, said that the fish car truck from Zamboanga City was on its way to Cagayan de Oro City while the passenger bus from Cagayan de Oro was bound for Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Norte when the vehicles collided in Gitagum, a town west of Misamis Oriental Thursday dawn.
Jarmin identifed the fatalities as Rodel Pantonial Pagasian, 38, Tambacan, Iigan City, the passenger bus driver of the Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. (RTMI), Silvino Laping Flores, Jr., 39, the fish car reuck driver, of Carmen Ayala, Zamboanga City, Thelma S. Galleon, of Bayug, Zamboanga del Sur, Lorenzo Losbaños Ejan, 82, of Bagongtaas, Valencia City, Bukidnon and Margarita Galleon Tagalog, 75, of Labrador Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay, all RTMI bus passengers.

Delisteico, 46, of Alegria Bacolod, Lanao del Norte (discharged), Glorio Andoy Pulga, 29, of Claver, Surigao del Norte (discharged), Maria Luz Cabillion, 58, of Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur (confined), Alberto Oco Damasing, 61, Burnay, Gitagum, Misamis Oriental, (confined).
Jarmin said that the seven injured were discharged Friday while four other passengers were still comfined in public and private hospitals in Cagayan de Oro City.
He said that the police are conducting a probe of the accident while the RTMI bus company and the fish truck operators agreed to soldier the expenses pending result of the probe. -0-
