CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Four passengers were killed, one injured in a road mishap along the national highway in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental early Tuesdsy morning (Sept 13, 2022).
A police report identified the fatalities as Bertley Jerome Esperat, 30, driver of the Starex van bearing plate number KEG 531, Lucille Rosete Cardinales, 53, all of Bulua, Cagayan de Oro, Estela Dalangin, 57, and Erika Manangkin, 28, all of Medina, Misamis Oriental. They all died on the spot. Injured was Meriam Esperat, 51, the mother of the driver.
Maj Joan Navarro, the spokesperson of the refional police office here, said that the passengers of the trailer truck with plate number KEE 973 driven by Roy Decio, 39, Carmen, Agusan del Norte and truck helper Emiliano Pamocino,
35, of Butuan City sustained slight injuries.
Navarro said that the driver of the trailer truck is now on the custody of the Balingasag police for proper disposition. -0-
