CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY:Â Bodies of four unidentified male persons, including a minor, were found dead with gunshot wounds in Villanueva, a town west of Misamis Oriental early Sunday morning.
About 50 kilometers west of here, a private car believed to be the service vehicle of the victims, was also found burning along the highway in Naawan, Misamis Oriental
Police investigators said that the dead victims were hogtied, mouths duck taped when found dead on a roadside in Dayawan, an outskirt village in upper Villanueva town, about 4:00 o’clock early Sunday morning.
Police were still trying to establish the connection of the burned car and the identities of the 4 dead bodies along with motive of the shooting.
Three of the victims were believed to be in their 20-35 years old while the fourth one was a minor. Each victim has gunshot wounds on the head and the body.
Responding law enforcers also recovered five empty shells fired from a caliber .45 pistol while another three empty shells from a 9mm pistols on the crime scene.
Police investigators belived that the victims separately came from other towns in Misamis Oriental or elsewhere in Northern Mindanao.
The 4 dead bodies, two of them had dyed blond hair, the other two had black hair, were now on a funeral home in Tagoloan, a neighboring town of Villanueva in Misamis Oriental. -0-
New developments
Case investigators after a few days found that the three of the four victims were related to each other, except for the driver of the vehicle. It was also learned that the killing could drug related and the victims were allegedly collecting sums of money when they went to Naawan town in Misamis Oriental.
