OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental,–The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-X Misamis Occidental 2nd District Engineering Office (Mis. Occ. 2nd DEO) finally inaugurated the P138 million Ozamiz Coastal Bypass Road that stretches 2.935 kilometers traversing Barangay Bongbong, Malaubang, and San Roque then to Port Road in the city.
The inaugural ceremony commenced on March 30 at Barangay Malaubang attended by District Engineer Carol Lyn C. Abinales, Assistant District Engineer Vivian R. Lumingkit, Construction Chief Engr. Genie S. Tatoy, 2nd District House Representative of Misamis Occidental lawyer Henry S. Oaminal, local executives and DPWH personnel.
The completion of the remaining road sections of this project for the people of Ozamis City, will help decongest traffic in the existing national highway.
Mis. Occ. 2nd DEO proposes an extension for the concreting and embankment works of the project from the port road to Barangay Catadman, Ozamiz City under CY 2019 regular infrastructure program.
