CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – The 283 men and women who will form the Candidate Soldiers Course Class 759 and 760-2023 have sworn to serve and protect the country and the Filipino people this Tuesday afternoon (May 9, 2023 ) at the 6th Infantry Division Grandstand, Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
Major General Alex Rillera, Commander of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Joint Task Force Central led the ceremony that signaled the start of six months of training at the 6th Division Training School (DTS) in Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del north
Major General Rillera told those training to become soldiers to remain positive and expect tough conditions while undergoing basic military training.
“While you are training, you don’t realize that your discipline, charity, companionship and respect for each other and the people you meet are developing. You will always remember that everything you do is not only for yourself, it is also for your family and above all for our beloved town”, according to Maj. Gen. Rillera.
Selected aspirants successfully passed the selection and processing standard set by the Philippine Army. They went through rigorous Physical, Medical, Neurological and Psychological examinations.
CSC Class 759 and 760-2023 consists of 270 men and 13 women who are ready to undergo rigorous training to fulfill their dream of becoming a full-fledged soldier.
These young people came from different municipalities in the provinces of Mindanao who underwent a complete screening and pre-entry process.
