2,000 vacant job posts await on DOLE’s first-ever online job fair

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 OIC-Regional Director Albert E. Gutib announced that as of December 8, there are about 2,608 overseas and local jobs initially offered starting December 9, during the three-day online job fair in the entire northern Mindanao, in line with the 87th DOLE anniversary.

Gutib said the first-time online job fair for local placement is in collaboration with the digital portal Mynimo.com.

Local job postings for the region are all posted in the said website.

Call center posts by VXI Global Holdings B.V tops the list with 1,200 available jobs like Customer Service Champion (400 vacancies); Customer Service Representatives (500); Sales Representatives (100); and Technical Support Expert (200), among others. It is followed by Asiapro Coop-MDC-CDO-AVIDA-Aspira with 270 vacancies such as masons (75); laborers (40); and painters (40).

Likewise, service industry establishments have posted a number of their vacant jobs, to name: Grandduke Financing Company (68 vacancies), mostly on its Field Collection Officers (50); Ororama Supercenter, Inc. “Since this will be an online job fair, applicants must prepare in digital copies their resume or they can make one thru Mynimo’s online template,” Gutib said.

Job seekers are asked to log-in their credentials to e-registration and click the name of the ongoing job fair. The system will then show the recommended job that matches the applicant’s reference.

If interested, applications should click the submit button. It will automatically add in their “My Application” option. To see the application details, applicants should click the view button.

To search for other available jobs, applicants may type the position then click the search button.

Job seekers may only submit their local jobs application during the three-day fair, but they can verify the status of their applications beyond December 11.

Overseas job listings are accessible through POEA’s website at www.poea.gov.ph.

Overseas vacancies are mostly Domestic Helpers (450 vacancies) from licensed manpower agencies in the region, to wit: Jenerick International Manpower, Inc. (100); Maanyag Manpower Corporation (100); Non-Stop Iligan (100); Oasia Global Resources (100), and Neptune Manpower (50) among others.

The online job fair is organized by the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), in coordination with the DOLE Regional Offices and its corresponding Provincial Field Offices.

This virtual job fair system is in compliance with the government safety and health restrictions on mass gatherings in preventing the spread of COVID-19 virus.

Moreover, this is also the response of the government through the department as the economy rebounds and some countries are gradually opening their economies.

This year’s 87th anniversary celebration in the region is anchored on the theme, “Bayanihang Pagtugon sa Hamon ng Bagong Panahon.” (DOLE10/PIA10)
