MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Governor Peter M. Unabia announced today that around 200 paragliding enthusiasts will come to the province and witness for themselves the beautiful para-gliding place in Misamis Oriental.
The governor said his staff, with the supervision of the Provincial Tourism office (PTO), are now busy preparing the province for the arrival of foreign para-gliders in all over Asia and other countries of the world.
Unabia said based on the list he saw yesterday, around 200 paragliders have signified their intention to visit the province and participate in the paragliding event in April, this year.
“Kining promotion of tourism ang epekto ani lapad kaayo. Nag prepare nata sa mga trisikad ug uban pang vehicles aron pagpangandam. April 27, nag invite ta ug mga paragliders nga moanhi sa probinsiya. – mga hapon, Korean, Singaporians, Indonesians and Vietnamese,” the governor said.
He also said that the construction of the Zipline in Sipaka Heights for Tourism Development with a total value of P49,942,375.26, is one of the biggest projects for tourism in the province.
Governor Unabia said this zipline project will be completed in 348 calendar days.
