CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Misamis Oriental Provincial Administrator John Venice Ladaga told journalists in an interview on March 18 that two persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) tested positive in using illegal drugs.
The PDLs are detained in the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail (MOPJ).
Those who tested positive were caught through the surprise random drug testing which is one of the efforts to counter the rising cases of illegal drugs in Misamis Oriental.
Ladaga said a joint operation of the PNP and PDEA to conduct an Oplan Galugad in MOPJ was already executed and efforts for the cessation as well as circulation of contrabands are being exhausted.
Ladaga said that the MOPJ warden has been sanctioned for command responsibility.
