ZAMBOANGA CITY – The law enforcement agency here arrested two ‘bigtime’ notorious drug traffickers and operatives seized almost P1-Million illegal drugs, police authorities said Thursday.
Brigadier Gen Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, regional director of the Police Regional Office No.9 (PRO-9) identified the arrested suspects as Jemar Abdurahman, 25, and Majid Ahiya Udjah, 46, both residents of this city.
Ylagan said police operatives arrested Abdurahman at around 10pm Wednesday along Fernandez drive in Barangay Sta Barbara.
The suspects yielded a total of 100 grams of the suspected shabu packed in five plastic sachets amounting to P680,000, including the P500 marked money.
Also around 11:30pm on Tuesday, Udjah, considered top 6 most wanted in Zamboanga-Sibugay province, was collared by virtue of a warrant of arrest in Barangay Tenan, In Ipil town, this province.
The Regional Trial Court has issued in August 2019 a warrant of arrest against Udjah for various drug charges.
Meanwhile, a certain Arnulfo Lambo, 42, was also nabbed by police operatives on Tuesday at a subdivision in Barangay Lunzuran, this province.
Police operatives seized from Lambo some 16.8 grams of the suspected shabu with a market value of P114,240; 128 empty shells from a .45 caliber pistol, and other illegal paraphernalia.
The suspects are now languishing at the police mini cell and will be charged in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
