CAMIGUIN - With the official declaration of the National and Local Elections 2019 winners, the outgoing local chief executives of the province and Mambajao town formally turned over their leadership, June 30, here.
Governor Jurdin Jesus M. Romualdo handed-over his mayoral responsibility to the newly-minted Mayor Elect Yñigo Jesus D. Romualdo at the Mambajao Municipal Hall, June 30, in a ceremonial turn-over activity.
Following the Local Government of Mambajao activity is the province's turn-over ceremony at the Camiguin Convention Center as outgoing Gov. Maria Luisa Romualdo entrusted the welfare of the province to newly elected Gov. Jurdin Jesus "JJ" Romualdo.
“Some would say that this is a comeback for me as the province’s governor, but for me it is not. This is a new journey as every year of being in public service has its new challenges and trials. Everything is not the same as it was before but I know that I have the support of the Camiguingnons with me,” Gov. JJ Romualdo said.
During the two turnover ceremonies, both the outgoing officials presented their accomplishments and recommendations to the new leadership. Moreover, pertinent documents which were vital for the operation of the LGUs were handed to the new LCEs.
The ceremonies were attended by all personnel of the local government units and the heads of the national government agencies.
